Bologna whispers the stories of its past to its visitors, draws them into its present, and ultimately sweeps them off their feet with its flavors. Its arcades, university, towers, and the Basilica of San Petronio are legacies of a rich and glorious era, while its stuffed pasta, world-famous meat ragù, and aged cheeses continue to entice at the Mercato di Mezzo.
During our tour, we will discover why it was so difficult for the city of Bologna to access water. Surprisingly, we will gain entry into the Town Hall building on Piazza Maggiore, and the meridians of the half-finished façade of the basilica will reveal a unique way of measuring time. Continuing our adventure, we will step into the market, where we can finally see the world-famous elements of Italian gastronomy up close. I can’t wait for this adventure! How about you?
